What Soulcraft Street is

Soulcraft Street is a newsstand for real places. Every business and creator that runs on Soulcraft has a page on the Street, and everything they make public, a new class, a show, a fresh issue, a kitten looking for a home, appears there the moment they publish it, newest first. Follow a place and its news finds you.

Nothing is written for the Street. A place writes on its own site, in its own voice, and the Street carries it with the place's name and a link back home. The place keeps its readers; the Street gives it more of them.

The Press Room is the Street's wire. Every press release from every Soulcraft venue sits there at one permanent address, dated the way a wire service would date it, with news feeds a journalist can subscribe to once and never bookmark again.

The Street also speaks on the social networks. Soulcraft Street has accounts of its own, and what a venue posts to the Street is shared there within each network's rules, always naming the venue. A venue that connects its own accounts posts to them from the same button.

Underneath, the Street runs on Bluesky's open network. That means a venue's account is really its own: its Bluesky handle can be its web address, its followers go with it wherever it goes, and nobody, including Soulcraft, can take the account away.

What is coming next, in order: a free Street account for anyone who follows places, with a @name.thestreet.social handle; the Street as a feed you can pin inside the Bluesky app; badges for regulars and members, visible on Bluesky; and a Street pass, where places that opt in offer early booking and members' prices to people who carry it.

The Street lives at thestreet.social.
